So, the last few days have been used in getting the curtains finished. Treating a few rust spots, more undersealing and general cleaning of the Bus. The foam arrived from the upholstery shop and was tried out in "bed mode" to see if it would fit. Yeah it fits. This will be covered when I can find some suitable material.
Still on the lookout for a fridge and double burner along with a leisure battery and regulator/wiring stuff.

Man........... it's HOT!!!
Not complaing though. The good weather has allowed me to get jobs done on the Bus. Finally wired up the CD player and speakers. Made the frames for the Benches/Bed. Drilled the floor pan and bolted the frames down, then plyboarded them. Fitted hinged tops to the benches and a couple of top supports for the seats. Finished off the window tinting, YEAHHHH. This job got a little easier. The secret is to use lots of soapy water and get one edge straight on the window, then worry about the rest.
The curtains are now lined and fitted. Only the front curtain left. Will glue velcro onto the roof just behind the drivers and front passenger seats, and attach the curtain to it.
Oh yeah nearly forgot, had a new windscreen fitted. Whilst it was out, treated the left and right sides of the frame with anti-rust.

Odds n Sods.
Drove all over the place today. Bought the angle iron to make the bench seats/bed frame from the recycling/scrap metal yard. Got a load of material to make the curtains from the fabric shop. Plyboard from the timber yard. Ordered the foam for the seats/bed from the upholstery shop. Will pick this up on Thursday. Got some more rust treatment gel and some black hammered finish paint from the car shop. Also picked up a "DUB" badge for the rear of the vehicle, along with a roll of window tint film to finally finish off the side windows. So jobs to do in the next few days are, sew up the curtains, make the seats/bed, fit the CD player and speakers then finally apply the window tint film. Happy days.

Back from the forest.
Spent 4 days at our local forest festival. I am getting used to the gears/gearlever a lot better now.
Sold a few items there, so went out and bought a CD Player for the Bus today. Will install it in the next week or so. Sourced some angle iron from a local guy to make the bench seats/bed will pick this up on Saturday along with the plyboard, still haven't decided what size to use yet. If I have time on Saturday, will go to the material shop to look for foam and curtain material.

Underseal Day.
All the underfloor was treated to a 5 litre coating of underseal today. Not a job that I would want to do again in a hurry. Having no access to a floor pit or ramps and with vehicles driving in and out of the street, this was a job I'm glad is finally finished.

Measured and marked out the interior floorplan as to what will go where. Contacted a few suppliers of plyboard, not sure whether to use 9mm or 12mm board to make the bench seats/bed. Probably try and ask a few friends to see what they have used.

Picked up the Bus.
Drove the Bus back to it's basecamp. Spent the weekend removing tarspots from the paintwork.
Removing and treating rust on the bodywork. The interior was also treated to a good clean.
Tinted window film was applied to the rear windows and half of the side windows. Ran out of window film and I will finish off next week, as the car shop has none in stock at the moment.
The window tint film caused many a fraught moment and considerable swearing. The film was applied on the hottest day of the year (well so far.) There is a certain skill or technique required for the application, one of which I am unfortunately lacking in!!
On the plus side picked up a couple of new, still in box black seat tidies from our local car booty on Sunday along with a few other odds and ends.

Spent all of today, (7 Hours) underneath the bus removing dirt, oil and rust. Cleaned the whole underside with a wire brush then wire wool then finally with cloths and white spirit.
Tomorrow I will treat the rust with a rust killer/primer and then underseal the whole underfloor.
