Had a drive not too far north for the weekend. Spent a night at a friends farm. Saw two barn owls at dusk on Saturday. First time I have seen barn owls in about ten years. The Bus went really well, no problems at all.

New Goodyear van tyre now fitted. Also have a windscreen sunstrip to fit later today.
Greased all the nuts and bolts on the underside of the Bus.

Had a good clean of the Bus wheels today and noticed that the tyre wall in the middle of one of the rear tyres is starting to crack and split most of the way round. I am surprised that this wasn't noticed in the MOT. The tyre is a brand called Cheng Shan, not a brand I have ever come across before.
I will have a new tyre fitted tomorrow.
More expense, although you can't feck about for the sake of a few pounds were safety is concerned.

New Timing Belt kit fitted yesterday, (belt, followers, etc.) Also a oil change was carried out and a new passenger sidelight bulb was fitted. The Diesel Doctor said that one of the followers was on it's way out, so just as-well the work was carried out. Don't want a blown engine.

Vehicle MOT day today. Should pass OK. There seems to be no problems with the Bus.
The Bus had to have a new brake pipe fitted and passed it's MOT.

Have had to have a lie down as the Bill for the total work arrived tonight. Brandy give me BRANDY!!!!

Easter weekend. Went to the fabric warehouse on Friday. Looking for some fabric for the rear seats. Absolute overpriced junk at the warehouse. Went to the beach for yet again, another poor bag of chips. In fact I think they were potato peelings fried and then served up in a kebab box. This was after waiting in a queue for 2o minutes.
Bought some fabric elsewhere and a few cushion covers that were in the sale.
I know the camper isn't the fastest vehicle on the road, but travelling back along the dual carriageway I was overtaken by a purple dodgem car, not a site you see every day on the roads.
Couldn't believe it, it even had the metal rod coming up from the back of the seat. Hee,Hee.

Saturday 7th April.

Been out visiting a few friends and was about 5 miles from home and saw a peacock walking down the street, WOT'S GOING ON.

Sunday 8th April.

The fabric is now all sewn up and the covers fitted.
